Paint me Purple

I should be in so much trouble, for not updating in forever. I'm sorry, I have been working on two plays I have coming up, finals, dance, ect. No excuses I know! Well fine Paint me Purple and call me Barney.

Now what I promised- Ethan Frome By: Edith Wharton

This book was amazing, I highly suggest it. The book is about a house that the author had seen, and the family that lives inside. Now how did the people get to be there, what twisted fait would have two of them wind up in a bed, and the other working non-stop. I won't tell, you'll have to read and see. Make sure you read the introduction/preface it sets the story up. If you don't confusion is every where.

Tomorrow- Meg Cabot palooza(I will comment on a ton of her books)

The Age Of Innocence

Now I sit here, and I am reading a book called The Age Of Innocence By-Edith Wharton. It is an amazing book, and well worth your time to read. This is my favorite line
"He simply felt that if he could carry away the vision of the spot of earth she walked on, and the way the sky and sea enclosed it, the rest of the world might seem less empty"
-Edith Wharton

The book is about a man Newland Archer's world as he gets ready to marry the lovely May Welland. Cab you imagine what happens when the Contess Ellen Olenska comes back to New York, after an unfortunate marriage, who he falls in love with. Now the choice lies upon his shoulders loyalty, and duty, or ruining his reputation to be with the one he loves.

Check the book out, NOW!!!

My Opinion

Gone With The Wind, is one of those books everyone should read at some point in their life. In my opinion this book was not at the top of my list in fact it is at the very bottom. I hated the book. I'm not sure why, but I'm pretty sure this has a lot to do with the ignorance that is shown by Scarlett O'Hara. I have no problem when in books people hurt each other, as long as the person that is hurting someone knows what they are doing, and has a basic understanding of the situation. I would suggest reading this book because everyone should read it, but don't get your hopes up for a story that has tragedies, that are brought on by an ignorant, selfish, vain girl.
That's my opinion. Make your own.

Quote Me

This is the second of three of the best lines in Gone With The Wind.
"...if you don't stop being such a glutton, you'll be as fat as the Cuban ladies and then I shall have to divorce you."
Once again I will not mention the page or scenery you will have to read the book to find that.

First Quote

This is from Gone With The Wind and it is the first of three quotes.
Rhett is speaking to Scarlett, I'm not going to tell you the page number or what is happening because I don't want to give anything away.
He drew a short breath and said lightly but softly:
"My dear, I don't give a damn."
